Review of the 2nd Stammtisch at Hanseaticsoft

Last Tuesday, Hanseaticsoft opened its doors to the 2nd Stammtisch of Maritime Startups. Around 50 participants were following the invitation. In addition to interesting discussions, new faces and cool drinks and finger food, the speakers Alexander Buchmann and Carsten Bullemer were at the start with interesting topics.

Alexander Buchmann from Hanseaticsoft talked about founding the company and presented his Cloud Fleet Manager, a software that optimizes fleet management and the organization on board. Furthermore, he demonstrated his HoLoLense project. Instead of looking at a GA plan on a screen, with the Google glass Hanseaticsoft developed a simply look at the entire ship in 3D. With it, you could virtually highlight certain areas or display the main engine on a ship.

Carsten Bullemer of Maritime Data Systems explored the question of how to find money as a startup. Question & Answer for the audience: For every correct answer the participant got a small schnapps as a reward. What a funny idea.

All in all, the 2 meeting was a busy round with a lot of exchange during the subsequent networking.
